Important — Note the time change
Meeting starts at 6:00 PM — not 7:00 PM
Council caucus begins at 5:30 PM. Plan accordingly and arrive early.
Grove City Council votes tonight on a proposed moratorium that would put the brakes on heavy industrial data center development while our community catches its breath. The Headwaters data center proposal is already moving. Council needs to hear from you — tonight.
Councilmember Mohamed Omar’s moratorium would pause new Heavy-Duty Commercial Facility applications, giving Grove City time to evaluate the real impacts before a development of this scale is locked in. It’s a reasonable ask. What happens tonight could shape this community for decades.
Why showing up matters
Council members pay attention to a packed room. Your presence — even if you never speak — sends a message that Grove City is watching.
Expect a crowd. Council chambers will fill up, and the city has an overflow plan that moves residents to the basement to watch the meeting live. Come anyway — every seat filled, upstairs or down, is a statement.
